Ophthalmologist with interest in or experience with cataract and refractive surgery

In order to reinforce our team of 9 ophthalmologists, Brussels Eye Doctors is looking for a motivated ophthalmologist.

Brussels Eye Doctors is a thriving and blooming practice with a strong team of nine ophthalmologists and specialized staff to provide all our patients with the best eye care. We are located in the heart of Brussels, near Montgomery Square.

Due to the ever-increasing demand for a glasses- and lens-free life, we are looking for a fellow ophthalmologist with experience in cataract and refractive surgery.

Do you not yet have acquired the necessary experience, but are you interested in this domain? Within Brussels Eye Doctors we offer the opportunity to follow a fellowship with our lead surgeon Dr. Jérôme Vryghem.

Our offer:

• If you still need to develop your experience: Fellowship for 6 months in cataract and refractive surgery through a fellowship with Dr. Vryghem who is our medical director and an experienced surgeon.
• You will be part of a team of motivated ophthalmologists who rely on experienced paramedical and administrative staff which allows to work in optimal conditions. Support is provided by optometrists, orthoptists, nurses and experienced medical secretaries.
• You will work in a modern infrastructure, with cutting edge technology, including 2 operating rooms and a complete technical platform (OCT, Fluo-angiography, visual field perimeter, OCT,…).
• We prefer a collaboration on a full-time basis, yet also a parttime collaboration is possible.
• Access to the large network of ophthalmologists within the Signifeye group, to which Brussels Eye Doctors belongs.
• Attractive remuneration model with possibilities for additional participation in the Signifeye group (no obligation).

What colleague are we looking for?

• You are a medical specialist in ophthalmology.
• You have an eye for empathy, are eager to learn and have good communication skills.
• You speak Dutch and French fluently as well as English and possibly other languages.
• You are eager to work in team but can also work independently.
